    12.26.08

We have not closed down for the Holiday week, but like the market, we are doing very little and getting ready to bring in a  new and welcome year. We were very happy to be spectators and not speculators for the better part of 2008. That is what prudent money does sometimes, and this year was one of those times. Even though we were not in the market much, most of us had "hidden" losses this year, and pretty sizeable ones at that. Yes I'm talking about our houses. Be it a Tri-level or a Mansion, it has gone down in value, and is still giong down. Of course we and our faimilies get to live there, and we've got to live somewhere. And most of us will continue to live there for years to come. But if you have to sell to relocate, you will have a problem. All in all most of us won't be faced with that. It would be terrible if the newspapers printed a daily value of each and every house the way they do for Stocks. "Rose, our house just lost another 2% this week. What should we do?" Thankfully that is not going to happen.

My words of wisdom to you readers this week are "It's too late to go short and it's to early to long." It's just that simple. Keep your powder dry and we will see an opportunity out there sometime, mayby sooner than later

We remain 100% in CASH as we go into another shortend week.
